Clockette 1937 Emerson Model 157 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Relic It Works!
DESCRIPTION: This is an old radio that looks like a clock. And the time it reads is ancient o'clock! Original, original, original. Tabletop tube AM radio alarm manufactured by Emerson in 1937 in very good working condition. Picks up AM stations around the dial clearly and loudly with external antenna. Very loud if the broadcast signal is strong. Bakelite cabinet is in excellent+ condition. No cracks. No chips. Couple scratches by volume knob. The front grill cloth is a brand new replacement with period matching pattern. No rips or tears no stains no smells, in excellent condition. The original knobs are in excellent condition and securely attached. The tuning dial works fine and rotates freely no slipping no sticky spots. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents. Dial light works and lights brightly. All old and crumbly wires have been replaced. All the wiring has been inspected for bridging and dry solder joints. All tubes checked and tested strong. All out of specification components have been replaced. This radio has another 50 years of playing time! The brand new power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits no fraying. Bottom factory label is intact and legible. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
