DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by General Electric in 1953 in excellent working and physical condition.

CABINET CONDITION: Original factor molded ivory white color plastic with gold front painted plastic grill. No cracks, chips, or missing pieces anywhere on the cabinet! Usually this model series has cracks and chips because of its size but not this one! The front clear tuning cover is clear no cracks no chips no micro-inclusions. The gold tuning wheel looks oxidized and tarnished and discolored with age. The red translucent tuning pointed and gold disc is in excellent condition.

WORKING CONDITION: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Has larger 6" speaker. Yes, size does matter when it comes to pushing air.

LOGO: No missing logo. Front grill Musaphonic label is faded and cracked. General Electric logo on tuning round window is in excellent condition.

KNOBS: The original knobs are in excellent condition no cracks no chips. Not missing gold metal center cap.

LETTERING: No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. Red tuning pointer is in excellent condition.

DIAL LIGHT: Dial light works and lights brightly. Follows arc of tuning movement, very neat!

SOUND QUALITY: The sound quality is superior to other radios of the era due to 6" speaker cone. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications.

CLOCK: No clock

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All out of tolerance paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.

BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is in excellent condition with antenna cover mounted securely in housing.

POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.

FACTORY LABEL: Bottom factory label is almost all missing..
