Fleetwood Black Vintage 1953 RCA Victor 6-XD-5 Vacuum Tube Radio Dual Speaker Sounds and Looks Great With Original Box!

DESCRIPTION: Cool mid-century styling featuring Cadillac-looking egg crate grill in contrasting black and gray! This tabletop vacuum tube AM radio was manufactured by RCA Victor in 1957 in excellent physical and working condition. Comes with original box.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Dual speakers for superior sound quality.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory shiny molded black plastic. No cracks, chips or major scratches or missing pieces. No heat cracks or heat warping on top. Front gray grill is original molded color. Not repainted, no touch up, not over sprayed. All original factory colors. Front tuning aluminum bezel is clean shiny no dents no dings no pitting some oxidation. Minor oxidation and edge dings. 

KNOBS: Original knobs are matching and securely attached not yellowed with age. No missing knob gold metal insert. Volume knob gold metal insert is intact. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. Tuning knob has inclusion crack but is solid not broken then reglued.

LOGO: No missing logos. Front RCA Victor Little Nipper logo applique is not missing. 

DIAL LIGHT: No tuning or clock dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both intermediate frequency transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to insure against undesirable static noise in the future. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: Brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.

BACKING BOARD: No backing board with this model. Color matching white plastic back cover is in excellent condition with no cracks, co chips, no major scratches.

FACTORY BOX: Included. Internal baffles are original. Top flaps are a little fatigued.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels.
