Lemon Yellow 1955 Granco Model 7TAF AM/FM Tube Antique Radio Extremely Rare and Sounds Great!
DESCRIPTION: This is an AM/FM vintage radio from 1955. It is super rare to find an early AM/FM radio in such a nice color combo but also good enough as a daily listener. Manufactured by little known Granco Company in excellent+ working and physical condition. This antique radio sounds great on both AM and FM and in this condition. All original factory molded yellow urea plastic back and white plastic grill front. Most AM FM radios are from sixties with plastic woodgrain and brushed aluminum. This vintage radio find picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. Sounds clear and loud across the dial with FM antenna attached. It blasts! Loud! Cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, splits, or missing plastic. This radio is over 60 years old! The original knobs are in excellent condition and securely attached. The dial face is in excellent condition. The little tuning dial indicator usually goes missing on this design but not this radio. No dial light not designed with one. But can be added. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The little AM FM switch indicator knob is not missing, which happens a lot with this design. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in excellent original condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. No missing factory labels. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
