DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock alarm radio manufactured by Admiral in 1955 time frame in excellent physical and working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Bakelite cabinet is repainted front top and sides with original factory color sage green. Bottom is the original factory color and paint. Near perfect color match on top, sides and front. No cracks, chips, or major scratches or missing pieces. Neat mid century Eames appeal gold metal stand. The front clock bezel is clear transparent with cracks no hazing no warping. The gold metal clock face is in good condition with some rust at the bottom edge. Three little clock knobs are replacements in excellent condition. Original knobs are molded color matching sage green and securely attached. All the lettering is still clear and legible. This radio is over 60 years old! No dial light not designed with one but one can be added for an extra charge. The tuning dial works fine. Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is almost silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Faint whirring sound. Has calendar function which was a premium Telechron clock movement offering back in the day. Probably works but have not test it extensively. Alarm and clock set function works. Alarm buzzer works. Sleep timer works. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The original power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Factory original backing board is in excellent condition and securely attached. Bottom factory labels are intact and legible. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
