Sea Green Mid Century Retro Jetsons 1957 Motorola 57H Tube AM Radio Great Color Sounds Wonderful!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Motorola in 1957 in excellent+ working condition. This design is one of my personal favorites. Looks very automotive and sci fi to me. A collectors favorite. Green color is very much sought after for its rarity. Original factory molded color not painted. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent plus condition. There are very few minor blemishes on the top. This radio is over 60 years old! Grill is in excellent condition with no dents, dings, rust, or warping. Motorola label on front speaker grill is in excellent condition. The knobs are in excellent condition. The button on top lights up when radio is on! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The clear bezel is securely attached no cracks or scratches. No broken mount tabs. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
