Valiant White 1967 Philco-Ford Model F234 Vacuum Tube AM Radio End of an Era!

DESCRIPTION: This Philco-Ford clock radio marks the end of an era. After this, solid state electronics and imports pretty took over the consumer electronic landscape that lasts to this day. Philco-Ford probably had some parts left over in supply inventory in the late 60s and decided to put out one last clock radio then call it a day. Long journey from 1927 when Philo Farnsworth first invented TV to become the largest radio manufacturer by 1954 to 1961 when bought out by Ford. Petite tabletop tube AM radio alarm manufactured by Philco-Ford in excellent+ working and physical condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. This radio was cared for and maintained throughout its life. This radio is in excellent condition with no cracks, splits, or missing plastic. No crack on top. There are some small chips along the edges. Couple nicks on the front grill. The color is original factory molded white. No modifications, repaints, or repairs to cabinet. None needed. This radio is over 50 years old!  Not missing labels. The front aluminum face plate is in excellent condition with no oxidation tracks, pits, or rub off. Numbering and lettering is in excellent condition. The knobs are in excellent condition. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The tuning knob attach post is one piece. Often, these knobs break off over the years.  All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
