DESCRIPTION: Nice little wood Sears Silvertone vacuum tube radio. Rare model in a rare color. Mint condition cabinet. No cracks, no scuffs, no water stains on green color tweed covering or grill cloth. Portable tube AM radio manufactured by Sears in very good working condition. Cabinet is original wood covered in green and ivory tweed throughout. No wood cracks, chips, or major scratches. Original leather handle has a few cracks but is functional. Runs on batteries but this odd size battery no longer manufactured. Runs on standard household voltage. The original power cable and plug is in perfect working condition. Original knobs securely attached. This radio is over 60 years old! No dial light not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine no sticky spots. Clear tuning window cover is original no cracks securely attached no warping no yellowing. Dial tuning graphics are excellent condition no flaking off numbers. Original handle and mounts are functional, strong and support weight of the radio. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Back panel is hinged and opens easily without tools. Bottom hinges are strong not loose. Plenty of internal space for Amazon Dot storage when not in use. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
