Aquamarine Turquoise 1957 Motorola Model 56CC Vacuum Tube AM Clock Radio Very Good Condition Sounds Great!
DESCRIPTION: These urea plastic clock radios from Motorola in the late fifties are sought after for their unique Jetsons type styling. This particular model is very recognizable. No chips or major scratches! One heat crack on the top, back top left corner which is fairly common with this model. A heat shield has been added to prevent further cracking. There is a hairline crack on the bottom front right edge. Original factory molded color. Not repainted, touched up or over sprayed. Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Motorola in 1957 excellent working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent glossy and in un-faded un-yellowed condition no chips, or missing material. The front metal gold fascia is tarnished with age but the markings is still very read-able . This radio is over 60 years old! The knobs are in excellent condition not faded. All the little clock knobs are still present. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing. There is a crack along the bottom front clock cover and a chip on the right top corner. There is one little eyelash crack emanating from the alarm set knob which is fairly common too. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. This is one of the rarer models that features both clock and calendar. No tarnish. The M logo is in excellent condition with most of its original chrome paint. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. This radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. The clock is somewhat quiet on this one too. No humming, buzzing, or cranking sounds slight whirring sound. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock, calendar, and alarm set function work. The brand new replacement cable and safety polarized plug is in excellent condition with no splits, cracks, or exposed wiring. There is a appliance timer function in back that works. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners. No missing factory labels. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
