DESCRIPTION: This double throated singer looks like it spend its life in a tanning salon. It started off as pink beige color but has yellowed evenly throughout to a butterscotch blonde color. The only part that retains some of its original hue is the bottom and insides. Otherwise, it is practically the same shade of yellow blondish butterscotch-y color all around. It is a clear sounding and loud as a banshee! Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by GE in late 1950s early 60s in excellent+ working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, splits, major scratches, or missing plastic. No repaints, oversprays or touch-ups. Front metal tuning fascia is in clean condition. There is a little oxidation at the bottom. The knobs show pitting and patina from wear. The front grill is in excellent condition with no cracks or missing vanes. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. However, there is a tiny chip on the dial. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications.
