Glacier White Mid Century 1957 Motorola Model 5T27W-1 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Rare Model and Rare Color!

DESCRIPTION: Here's a rare bird. More commonly seen in sea green but white is actually more rare. Vintage tabletop tube AM antique radio manufactured by Motorola in 1957 in excellent+ working and physical condition. This design is one of my personal favorites of vintage radios. Looks very automotive and sci fi to me. A collectors favorite. Original factory molded color not painted. Not repainted. No touch up. No over spray. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in very good condition. No chips. No major scratches. There are two thin heat cracks on the top of the radio. This retro radio is over 60 years old! Grill is in excellent condition with no dents, dings, rust, or warping. Motorola 'M' on front speaker grill is in excellent plus condition with no flaking or rub off. The knobs are in excellent condition and matching white. Not black knobs originally. So this was a white on white color way. Very unusual. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The clear bezel on this radio is securely attached no cracks or scratches. All attach tabs are intact not broken off then reglued. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The red tuning indicator button is in excellent condition not faded. Top lighted on/off button works and lights brightly and not yellowed! All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners. Bottom factory label is intact. The power cord and plug are excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
