DESCRIPTION: RARE tabletop tube AM radio alarm manufactured by Philco in 1959 timeframe in excellent+ working and physical condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. This radio was cared for and maintained throughout its life. This radio is in excellent condition with no cracks, splits, or missing plastic. No crack on top. Very rare color to find. The lime green color is original factory molded color. No modifications, repaints, or repairs to cabinet. None needed. This radio is over 50 years old!  Not missing labels on front speaker grill. The front 'Philco' gold raised lettering is in good condition with most of the paint still there but slightly faded. The knobs are in excellent condition. The little "P' logo is nit missing which is common with this model. Also, the white plastic tuning knob center cap is not missing which is also common with this model. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The tuning knob attach post is one piece. Often, these knobs break off over the years. The dial light is new and lights up brightly. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. This thing belongs in a museum!
