MAIZE YELLOW Mid Century Jet Age Retro 1959 Philco Model E-812-124 Tube AM Radio Totally Awesome!!

COLOR: Maize goldenrod mustard yellow color

DESCRIPTION: The rarest molded color radios from this period has got to be true yellows, oranges, and purples. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Philco in 1959 time frame in excellent+ condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition. No crack along that top ridge which is common among this model. No discoloration. There are no melted patches of plastic. This radio is original factory molded mustard-colored maize yellow color plastic. It is not repainted. The metal applique is securely attached with no waves no flaking or rub off. This radio is over 55 years old!  The knobs are in very good condition with no cracks. The metal inserts are in great condition. There are some scratched on the radio dial. The tuning knob works fine and smooth no slipping. The tuning station numbers are slightly rubbed off.  All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or continuous hum. There is no loud or continuous static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug is good original working condition but yellowed from age. No exposed wiring or fatigue by the interconnect that is common. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. If you let this one get away, it will be a long time before you'll see another one like it!
