DESCRIPTION: When Bulova designed the gold grill, they were thinking bling. This Bulova clock radio has a fine jewelry look to it. It's retro and appeals with a 5th Ave twist. Think "Touch of Mink" or "Breakfast at Tiffany's." Very upscale looking! Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Bulova in 1960 time-frame in excellent+ working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in very good condition. No cracks, chips, or major scratches on anywhere on top, sides, or back. Bottom has a patch panel that has been added to obscure a large chip on the bottom grill. All original factory molded colors. This radio is over 60 years old! All original everything. No repaints. No cabinet repairs needed. Front bejeweled and faceted grill is original. The knobs are in excellent condition not discolored, chipped or missing paint. The push buttons on top works as designed. No cracks or chips on the buttons. The clear dial face has no cracks and is clear as a spring day on the Champs D'Eylsees The clock face is clean with no tarnishing or greening. Please see the photo close-up. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time for a mechanical analog design. The clock motor is silent. The alarm works. The clock and alarm set function work. There is an appliance timer function in back. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The factory label and tube layout diagram is in very good condition with a diagonal rip but with crisp square corners no flaking not coming un-glued or separated. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. This thing belongs in a museum!
