DESCRIPTION: Rare and not often seen manufacturer. Rare model in excellent plus condition. Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Regal in 1954 in excellent+ working condition with original rare all ivory Plaskon plastic a predecessor to modern day plastics. Plaskon is a hard durable plastic that has a higher melting temperature than modern day plastics. Most plaskon radios have temperature and stress cracks due to the brittleness and inelasticity of Plaskon over temperature ranges. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. The dial light lights up brightly as soon as you turn the radio on which is so neat! Cabinet is in excellent condition. No cracks or major chips. No major scratches. There is one small chip by the front edge volume knob. This radio is over 70 years old!  The replacement knobs are in excellent condition and beautiful. The clear glass convex dial face is clear and no stress cracks. Please see the photo close-up. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing. No flaking either. The clock face has no water marks. The original metal clock arms work perfectly. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. The alarm works. The clock and alarm set function work. All three little clock knobs are original which is amazing! Some or all these knobs are usually missing after 70 years. The gold paint on these knobs has rubbed off a little. The tubes are working fine. The dial light works. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets.  This thing belongs in a museum!
