TOFFEE TAN Mid Century Vintage 1959 AMC Model 2585 Tube Radio Almost Mint and Very Sweet!

COLOR: Tan. Looks like toffee or caramel color

YOUTUBE VIDEO here. I live in rural Connecticut and there's only one radio station that comes in loud and clear depending on the day.

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by AMC in 1959-60 time frame in excellent+ physical and working condition. Cabinet is original tan color. This radio is manufactured by Arvin as model 2585 but licensed to AMC. Very rare manufacturer in a very rare color. The tweed fabric grill is in mint condition with no rips, tears, stains, or runs. Amazing. No other cracks, chips, or major scratches. Original factory molded color. No repaints, repairs. None needed. This radio is over 55 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. Look at the original factory tweed no stains no runs no rips! Wow. The tuning dial works fine. Dial light works and lights brightly. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The knobs are original and securely attached. The volume on off knob turns on with a definite click. Surprisingly, the knobs on this particular radio have not yellowed with moisture and oils from human touch. So, bonus! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The thicker power cable is securely attached and excellent condition. No fatigue by the interconnect. No exposed wiring. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. When this radio was new, tailfins were all the rage!
