Cotillion Pink and Gold 1959 Motorola Model 5T13P Vacuum Tube AM Radio Sounds and Looks Heavenly!

DESCRIPTION: Here’s a table top radio that looks like a portable. Rare model and color combination. The metal back serves as an antenna for this radio. How clever! The back looks green in photos but it is gold looking in person. Manufactured by Motorola in 1959 is in excellent working and physical condition. This antique radio picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. No cracks, splits, or missing plastic. The knobs are original and in great condition and securely attached. To turn radio on, pull knob outward. Huh. There is no missing ink, smudges, only slight rub-off of the dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. No dial light not designed with one. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents, so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. No battery compartment so this radio was designed as a table top. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The original power cord and plug are in perfect working condition with no breaks, cracking or exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.

DIMENSIONS: Approximately 12" x 4" x 7" (l x w x h)

COLOR: Carnation pink like a prom dress and gold grained metal painted back
