DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Arvin in the 1950s is in excellent working and physical condition. Cabinet is original factory ivory painted Bakelite. Bakelite cabinet has cracks, chips, or major scratches. Factory original grill fabric is in excellent condition with no rips, runs, or loose separated edges. Knobs are original and securely attached on this vintage radio. This retro radio is one of the better ones for listening purposes. This radio is over 60 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 65+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. No dial light not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm works. Clock time and alarm set time works. Sleep timer works. Appliance timer function works. The replacement power cord and plug are excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
