Bluetooth Ready - Burgundy Mid Century Modern Vintage 1953 General Electric Model 416 AM Tube Radio
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by General Electric in 1953 in excellent+ working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. This radio is in excellent working condition. This vintage radio has been modified to play music through a Bluetooth receiver that transmits through the great sounding original radio speaker. There is a small cigarette burn on the front edge between the knobs. There is also a crack on the back top toward the center that is not visible from the front. No other cracks, chips or major scratches. Cabinet is glossy burgundy color. Excellent original condition cabinet with no splits, or seams, abrasions, or missing pieces. Knobs are original and securely attached. No missing factory labels or stickers. This antique plays without need of external antenna attachment. This radio is over 65 years old! All the dial numbers are crisp and clear. The dial clear bezel is a little hazy. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The original power cord and plug is in good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
