Cocoa Philco Mid Century Vintage 1954 Model C581 AM Vacuum Tube Radio Sounds Great!
DESCRIPTION: Very proportioned design and sounds great! Tabletop tube radio manufactured by Philco in 1954. This vintage radio is in excellent cosmetic and working condition. No cracks, abrasions, or major scratches anywhere on the cabinet! There is a small chip on the left front edge. This vintage radio is in the original factory molded color brown. Extensive cracks and chips on top and left side have been repaired and reinforced and repainted. The color match and sheen is perfect! All original knobs, dial pointer, etc are present, working, not missing. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without external antenna attachment. Takes a little longer than most to warm up. Excellent mid century modern design! This radio is over 65 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. No smudges or yellowing. The tuning and volume dials work fine. No slipping. No dial light. The original bottom label is intact. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The replacement power cord and polarized plug is in perfect working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. The original backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
