Mocha Swirl Mid Century Vintage 1958 Philco E-814-124 AM Tube Radio Sounds Great!

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Philco in 1958 excellent working condition. The cabinet of this antique radio is in original factory molded marbled brown. No chips or major scratches. There are two hairline cracks on the back top edge. The front grill is in excellent condition. No repairs, repaints.  The front gold dial has just a few oxidation spots. Big white tuning knob is original and securely attached and not broken which is outstanding considering its size. Not missing white center cap which usually is lost. Not missing the "P" logo on front grill which often times pops off. Volume knob is original. This radio is one of the better ones for listening purposes. Dial light works brightly. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
