Cloisonne Green Mid Century 1952 Automatic Radio Mfg Model CL-142 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Cool Model Rare Color!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM vintage radio manufactured by Automatic Radio Manufacturing Co.in 1952 in excellent working condition. Very rare model in a very rare color. This antique radio is evocative of Asian antiquity with an air of golden age deco. Original factory molded color not painted. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in very good condition. There is a small hairline crack on the bottom. This radio is over 60 years old! The front facade is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches. The clock face clear bezel has a small chip at the top, The Automatic Radio Mfg decal is missing. The knobs are in excellent condition. The little black clock knobs are non original replacements. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering on the clock or radio tuning bezel. The clear bezels are securely attached with no major cracks or scratches or inclusions. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The tuning indicator translucent green is in good condition a little faint. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is half missing. Clock works and keeps accurate time. Alarm set function works. Alarm works. Clock set works. The clock motor is quiet. No humming buzzing, or grinding noises. No dial light. Not designed with one. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. This vintage radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
