DESCRIPTION: Tabletop Tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Wards in 1952 excellent+ working condition with MP3 ready conversion. AM tabletop tube clock radio manufactured by Wards Airline in the 1952 time frame still in excellent+ working condition. This radio is very post war industrial looking even a little Art Deco. No cracks, splits, abrasions, or missing material anywhere on the cabinet! No repairs or repaints of any kind. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without external antenna attachment. The reception on this little guy is one the finest I've heard! Excellent art deco design! Very height weight proportional, in my opinion. Original brown marble swirly bakelite cabinet is flawless semi- glossy almost matte sheen. The volume knob is original matching brown bakelite securely attached. This radio is over 60 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. It's amazing the plastic curved bezel is not cracked. No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. No smudges or yellowing. The tuning and volume dials work fine. The tubes are working fine. The power cord and plug is is a new replacement with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. When this radio was new, Harry S Truman was president! This thing belongs in a museum!
