Princess Pink 1957 General Electric Model 912D Tube AM Clock Radio Sounds and Looks Lovely!
DESCRIPTION: Vintage tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by General Electric in 1957 time frame excellent working and physical condition. Very popular late fifties step design in a cool pink color. Original factory molded color on this antique. No repaints. No over spray. None needed. Factory glossy and shiny. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition with no chips, splits, or missing plastic. This radio is over 60 years old! The knobs are in excellent condition. The black dial face is clear with no hazing. The tuning bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time for a mechanical analog design. The dial light lights brightly. The clock set screw is not missing its knurled knob. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The snooze button on top works. The clock and alarm set function work. Sleep timer works. The tubes are working fine. Bottom factory labels are flaked off. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
