Edgy Looking Brown Bakelite 1949 RCA Victor Model 9-X-641 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Looks Great! Sounds Wonderful!

DESCRIPTION: This design has an edgy mid century abstract look to it like the designers were influenced by cubism, abstract artists. Cabinet shape departs from the art deco smooth curvy bathtub like contours. But, where it substitutes straight edges and oblique angles for curves and contours, it doesn't take the risks like Radiola asymmetric RA248A. Reminds me of the new Tesla pickup. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1949 in excellent working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial. No cracks or chips on the Bakelite cabinet This is a factory original brown molded Bakelite cabinet. Not repainted no over spray and no touch ups. Knobs are original and securely attached. This radio is over 65 years old! All the dial numbers are crisp and clear no flaking. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. No slipping. Dial light lights up brightly. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Bottom factory label is in intact condition. Factory original backing board is intact. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug is in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
