Marilyn Pink 1957 Motorola 57CC Tube AM Clock Radio Excellent Condition Sounds Great!
DESCRIPTION: These urea plastic clock radios from Motorola in the late fifties are sought after for their unique mid-century styling. This particular model is very recognizable. Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Motorola in 1957 excellent working and physical condition. Original factory molded pink urea plastic which is a hard inflexible plastic that is a predecessor of modern plastics. Not repainted no touch ups no over spray. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. There is a heat crack on the top left which is common for this model. There are no other cracks, chips or major scratches. The front metal gold fascia is very good with little rust, tarnish, or discoloration. There is little to no discoloration or fading of the pink plastic. This radio is over 50 years old! The knobs are in excellent condition. These pink knobs tend to fade to ivory over the years. The volume and tuning knobs on this particular radio still retain much of their original factory pink-ness. All the little ivory clock knobs are still present. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing. This antique has three little eyelash cracks emanating from the clock clear cover knobs which common with the model. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. This is one of the rarer models that features both clock and calendar. No tarnish or water stains on the clock face of this vintage clock radio. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. This radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock, calendar, and alarm set function work. The cable is strong and sturdy and thicker than most. Cord is in excellent condition with no splits, cracks, or exposed wiring. There is a appliance timer function in back. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners. No missing labels or stickers on bottom. Little round factory inspection sticker is still intact. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
