DESCRIPTION: Rare model in a rare color manufactured by Sears under the Silvertone brand name. This was one of the last vacuum tube clock radios you could buy manufactured in the USA. After this, pretty much everything up the current day would be solid state and manufactured overseas. This Silvertone is in excellent working and physical condition. No cracks or major scratches. Cabinet is original molded blue color that has yellowed to a sea green color. Couple spots by the "Snooz" button is slighty more blue. Not repainted. No touch ups. No over spray. None needed, The original knobs securely attached still retain some of the original blue color. Volume and tuning knobs even little clock knob are original. This radio is one of the better ones for listening purposes. This radio is over 50 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. No missing logos or labels. Says "Sears Slivertone" The tuning dial works fine. No slipping. Volume works. No dial light not designed with one but one can be added for an extra charge. Clock clear cover is not cracked no hazing. The clock works and keep accurate time. No clock motor humming, buzzing, or ticking noises. The wake to radio alarm works no buzzer. The clock and alarm set function work. Snooze button works. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. Original power cord is in excellent working condition with no breaks fraying or exposed wiring. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. Bottom label is intact. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
