DESCRIPTION: This vintage radio looks like it has a sun dial mounted on the front! Tabletop vacuum tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Emerson in 1956 excellent+ working and physical condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, splits, or missing urea plastic. Very durable hard plastic. No cracks on top. Original factory molded color. Not repainted. No touch up no over spray. The front clear clock face is in excellent condition. The knobs are in excellent condition. The matching original gold little on/off switch is present and securely attached. The clear round clock sun dial is a little yellowed not cracked no haziness. The clock lettering is not rubbed off. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! No dial light not designed with one but dial can be added for an extra fee. The clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent. No humming, buzzing or ticking noises. Clock and alarm time set works. Sleep timer works. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. No missing factory labels. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
