Turquoise and White Vintage 1957 RCA 1-RD-65 AM Vacuum Tube Radio Works Great Excellent Condition Sounds Fantastic!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1957 in excellent working and physical condition. Cabinet is original molded turquoise color and white. All original factory molded colors. Not repainted no touch up no overspray. No cracks no chips no major scratches. This model frequently has chips on the corners but not this one. The front aluminum metal trim is in great condition with no dents or dings or rust on the edges. Knobs are original and securely attached. Center metal inserts are original and intact. Usually these are missing. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. The alarm works. Alarm buzzer and wake to music only alarm functions both work and go off at the correct set time. The clock and alarm set function work. Snooze paddle works. Sleep timer works. Appliance timer function in back works. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The power cable is securely attached with no breaks or fatigue at the base interconnect. Factory label is intact and readable. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
