Surf Green 1957 Motorola Model 57CC Tube AM Clock Radio Sounds Great Looks Amazing!
DESCRIPTION: These urea plastic clock radios from Motorola in the late fifties are sought after for their unique Jetsons type styling. This particular model is very recognizable. No chips or major scratches! There is one heat crack on the top, back top left corner which is fairly common with this model. There is a crack on the bottom that has been repaired. Original factory molded color. Not repainted touched up or oversprayed. The clock is quiet on this one too. No humming, buzzing, or cranking sounds. Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Motorola in 1957 excellent working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in glossy and in un-faded condition no chips, or missing material. The front metal gold fascia is tarnished with a little rust, tarnish, or fading. This radio is over 50 years old! The knobs are in excellent condition not faded. All the little clock knobs are still present. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing. There are no eyelash cracks emanating form the clock knobs which is fairly common too. No other cracks on clear clock cover! Unbelievable. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. This is one of the rarer models that features both clock and calendar. Little tarnish. The M logo is in slightly tarnished condition. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. This radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock, calendar, and alarm set function work. The cable is strong and sturdy and thicker than most. Cord is in excellent condition with no splits, cracks, or exposed wiring. There is a appliance timer function in back. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
