Aqua Mid Century 1957 Motorola Model 57CC Tube AM Clock Radio Sounds Great! Looks Great!

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Motorola in 1956 excellent+ working condition. There are cracks on the right side, and on the bottom and on the clock face. No major chips or scratches anywhere. There are noticeable heat cracks on the top. These are fairly common among 56CD and 57CC models that have had normal use. As part of our intensive restoration process a supplemental heat shield has been added (that should have been added by Motorola engineers back in the day!). So it should help reduce further heat deterioration. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. The radio gold metal plate is in very good condition with some rub-off. The clock face is in excellent condition. Tiny eyelash cracks by the On Off Auto and Sleep buttons. No other eyelash cracks. Almost all these models seem to have those little downward eyelash cracks by the clock knobs. This radio is over 60 years old! The knobs are in excellent condition. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. There is a appliance timer function in back. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. No missing factory labels. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
