DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube radio manufactured for Crosley in 1950-1 time frame in excellent+ working condition. This radio is very easy on the eyes. The bullseye grill and contoured edges are very proportionate. A favorite among collectors. The front grill slats are perfect. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. There are a few areas where the paint has worn through. The tuning knob is original and securely attached. The volume knob is a replacement securely attached. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without external antenna attachment. Excellent art deco design! Original cabinet is smooth semi-glossy condition. No cracks or major scratches. There is a small chip on the top front edge. The knobs are original matching Ivory bakelite securely attached. This radio is over 60 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. Look at the perfect Art Deco-ish type logo font! No cracks, smudges or yellowing on concave clear dial face. The back panel is in excellent condition. The tuning and volume dials work fine. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The original power cord and plug is in good working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. There is a water stain on the backing, made of industrial grade paperboard. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. When this radio was new, Eisenhower was president! This thing belongs in a museum!
