DESCRIPTION: Rare rare rare and very desirable. Yeah. AM FM. I think this is the last hurrah of the tube era from the venerable but somewhat geeky Arvin company. Because, after this model you don't see much tube. Aesthetically, this design seems reminiscent of the fifties to me. So, the benefit of FM for listening purposes with aesthetics and decor appeal of fifties, and Bluetooth MP3 upgrade, makes this particular radio multi-generational, don't you think? In other words, there something about it to appeal to you, your dad, and your grand father! Ha Ha Ha. Tabletop tube AM FM radio manufactured by Arvin in 1962 time frame in excellent+ working condition. Cabinet is original turquoise blue and white front color. There is no characteristic crack on the top. There is a crack behind the handle. No cracks, splits, chips or missing material anywhere. Knobs are original and securely attached. Tuning knob is missing the gold metal cap. The handle is built into the back of dial display. Very functional. This radio is one of the better ones for listening purposes. This radio is over 55 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The replacement power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
