DESCRIPTION: Here's a radio with an inferiority complex. Looks like it was designed with "bigger is better" in mind. Wonder what consumer market they're trying to appeal to? Replete with wood looking panel all over like a Family Truckster. Rare AM FM tabletop tube clock radio manufactured by milquetoast brand Master-Craft in the early 1960s time frame still in very good working and physical condition. Not a splinter of real wood in sight but plenty of real wood looking paneling! No cracks or chips anywhere which is a miracle considering its cavernous plastic shell. Top wood panel painting is scratched like the side of a Country Squire station wagon. No repairs or repaints of any kind on this vintage radio. None needed. Has four - count them four - speakers! Two bass and two treble. All knobs, dial pointer, etc are present, working, not missing. Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial with FM dipole antenna will be included. The volume, tone, AM/FM/AFC (Automatic Frequency Control) and tuning all work. This radio is about 60 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. AM and FM tuning dials rotate simultaneously like dazzled eyes of spectators! No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. No smudges or yellowing. No dents or dings on expanse of plastic grill. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. Tuning dial clear plastic window is original not yellowed no cracks no warping. No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge. Extra gimmick: AM and FM selector orange gas lit pilot light work but only FM light works. These bulbs are hard to find No 47 with screw base. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. Original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
