Black and Pink 1959 Travler Model T-204 AM Tube Radio Cute As A Button!
DESCRIPTION: Instantly endearing design that still resonates today. Put it in your loft or MCM split level and tell your friends you just bought it at Urban Outfitter and they would probably believe you! Manufactured by Travler in 1959 time frame. Original factory molded in black plastic. A wonderful tabletop tube AM retro radio in excellent working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. The cabinet is original shiny black plastic. Absolutely stunning color combo! This vintage radio features a painted pink grill. The radio was repainted. There is a small hairline crack on the top back side that has been stabilized on the inside. Iconic tri-star tuning knob is original and securely attached in good condition though there is some paint rubbed off to the bronze tri-star due to normal use. This retro radio is 60 years old! No dial light. Not designed with one. No missing ink. There are no smudges or rub-off on dial lettering. The Trav-ler grill logo is in good condition. The kitschy-est of kitsch! The tuning dial works fine. No dial light. Not designed with one. The original power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The original power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The antique radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
