Gloss Red 1946 Lyric Model 546T AM Vacuum Tube Radio Stunning Looking and Works Great!

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Lyric in 1946 in excellent working and physical condition.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. 

CABINET CONDITION: Factory Bakelite cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks and no chips. Has been refinished with gloss red enamel paint. Has been polished and buffed with many repeated steps to a mirror shine. The tuning dial clear cover is intact, no cracks, no warping, no discoloration, and securely attached. Original grill fabric is intact, no rips, cleaned, tightly stretched no separated or loose edges.

KNOBS: Original matching ivory knobs securely attached. The original tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. Volume on/off switch works with smooth volume attenuation and definite click when turning on and off

LOGO: Lyric logo as part of the tuning dial is in excellent condition with no rub off. 

DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with on but can be added for an extra charge.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: The replacement power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. 

BACKING BOARD: Color matching back cover is Bakelite with mirror red gloss paint. Attached with all 4 flat head screws that appear to be original.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No internal factory stickers.
