Chalcedony Black 1952 Admiral 5G35N AM Tube Radio Mid Century Appeal in Spades!
DESCRIPTION: Rare and beautiful tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Admiral in 1952 in excellent working condition. Cabinet is original factory black molded urea plastic. Not repainted no touch-ups no overspray. None needed. No cracks, chips, or major scratches anywhere on cabinet. Knobs are original and securely attached. The knobs on vintage radios usually show tarnish or pitting on the golden disc inserts. Not this one! The knobs of this antique radio are in great condition. This radio is over 60 years old! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. The clear tuning window is clear no cracks or yellowing. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The factory label on bottom is excellent original condition with no rips, peeling, water stain, just slight yellowing. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
