DESCRIPTION: This hottie once turned all the boys heads. Now, time has left its mark on her face. Should be appreciated for what it is not what it isn't. She still sings beautifully and one of the rarest colors of the era: hot pink. Not carnation pink not coral or salmon pink. As hot a pink as manufacturers could make for the time. Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Philco in 1959 in excellent+ working condition. No chips or major scratches. The top has a hairline crack along the back middle edge. Cabinet is original factory molded glossy hot pink color. No exterior repairs or repaints. None needed. This radio is over 60 years old! This vintage radio picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. The tuning dial works fine missing center gold cap. All the black dial numbers are crisp and clear. The clock face is original with major paint flaking. Clock face is not lighted when radio is turned on but can be added for extra charge. No missing little clock knobs. The sleep timer knob flap is broken off. The clock works and keep accurate time. Clock motor is silent. No humming no buzzing no ticking noises. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with high quality modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Original backing board is intact with crisp square corners. Bottom factory labels are mostly there and legible. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
