DESCRIPTION: Tabletop Tube AM radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1950's excellent working condition. Cabinet is shiny original mauve tan color plastic front and back. Rare color combination. Instantly retro looking proportions with humungous dial. Evocative design connects instantly with jaded collectors and new observers alike! Usually you find the turquoise and off white version and the powder pink and off white version. The front grill is in excellent condition. No cracks on top or anywhere!. There are small dings and chips along the outer edge. No repairs no repaints. Knobs are original and securely attached. Not yellowed but gold trim surround. The original gold metal cap on the tuning dial is missing. This radio is almost 60 years old! No dial light. Not designed with one. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Good performer. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. When this radio was new, tailfins were all the rage!
