DESCRIPTION: This is the radio you will turn on and actually listen to! AM/FM Tabletop tube radio manufactured by Motorola in the mid-sixties time frame still in excellent+ working condition. This radio has a very good audio sound quality for design that is close to 50 years old. No cracks, splits, abrasions, or missing material anywhere on the cabinet! All original material and finish! No repaints or repairs. None needed. All knobs, dial pointer, etc are present, working, not missing. Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial with external antenna. I am only able to receive 1 or two stations faintly in the remote rural area I live. Excellent mid-century design statement. Looks very Mad Men! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear but not high contrast. The front metal fascia is good condition considering its age. No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. No smudges or yellowing. The back panel is in excellent condition. The tuning and volume dials work fine. Tuning pointer red arm is a little faded. No dial light. Not designed with one. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The original power cord and plug is in good working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. When this radio was new, Harry S Truman was president! This thing belongs in a museum!
