DESCRIPTION: Catalin vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Emerson in 1936-1938 time frame in excellent+ physical condition. From Julien's of West Hollywood from the estate of Gordon Estby renowned collector of the finest Catalin radios in the world. Pebble Beach of old radios. You know the saying, "if you have ask how much is it..." Amazing Catalin cabinet shows off a wonderful 3D marble-ized effect. No cracks no chips no major scratches. No signs of previous repairs. The front grill is in excellent condition. No shaky, missing, or loose vanes. The tuning dial works fine and smooth. Dial light glows with a great ambiance. Tuning dial clear cover is original, yellowed with age, no cracks, securely attached. Emerson logo is intact. No electronic repairs have been performed. All original paper and wax capacitors have been left in original state. The power cord and plug are original working condition with cracks and has electrical tape. The power cord cloth covering is in fair condition. The radio has been not been cleaned and inspected. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
