Corsair Red Trav-Ler 1959 Model T-213 AM Vintage Tube Radio Mid Century Marvel!

DESCRIPTION:  This vintage radio features a lighted top display register with AM slide indicator.  We love this retro futurism. The gold metal surround adds some unexpected heft to the whole package like it's a radio with tail fins! This antique radio has a sleek Courbusier-like design. This Travler features elements that you don't see from other manufacturers so it's truly a monumental statement in mid century product design. Tabletop retro tube AM radio manufactured by Travler is in 1959 in excellent working condition. However, that said the gold finish has not worn well over the years and shows it patina and loss of color.  This vintage radio picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is original factory molded shiny red plastic. No cracks, no chips, no dents anywhere on the cabinet. There are micro scratches and minor abrasions throughout the cabinet due to normal wear and tear over the years. The metal front frame is faded from age and normal use. The transparent top display is lighted brightly from both ends so you can see and tune into your favorite AM station in deep space. This radio is over 60 years old! No missing ink, smudges. The tuning dial works fine. No slipping. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
