Ivory and Gold Retro Vintage 1955 Emerson Model 729B AM Tube Radio Totally Restored!
DESCRIPTION: Cute design with an avante garde looking front grill design. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Emerson in 1955 excellent working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is original ivory molded plastic. Intuitive and fresh looking design even by today's standards. The grill is original factory gold color. No repaints no touch up no over spray. None needed. Excellent condition with no cracks, splits, or seams, abrasions, or missing pieces. This radio is over 60 years old! Dial light lights up red power indicator. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The logo is raised plastic lettering in good condition. The tuning dial works fine. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct values and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
