Rose Pink 1959 General Electric Model C-4340 Vacuum Tube AM Clock Radio Mid Century Splendor!
DESCRIPTION: A vintage tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by General Electric in 1959 time frame very good physical condition and excellent working condition. Very popular late fifties step design in a cool pink color that works well with most home decor. This antique radio by GE is in a really gorgeous pink original factory molded color. No repaints. No overspray. None needed. Factory glossy and shiny. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in very good condition. There is a faint crack on the top. There is a small crack on the bottom by the screws. This radio is over 60 years old! The knobs are in excellent condition. The black dial face is clear with no hazing. The dial face is in excellent condition with no cracks or scratches. The tuning bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. The clock motor is silent. The alarm works. The clock and alarm set function work. Snooze button works. The tubes are working fine. The dial light works and lights brightly, though it does take a few moments to light up which is normal. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The original power cord is in excellent condition no breaks or exposed wire. Bottom factory label is missing. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
