Mint Green Vintage 1953 RCA Victor 6-XD-5 Tube Radio Pristine Condition Works Great!
DESCRIPTION: Cool mid-century styling featuring orthogonal cross hatch grill in contrasting olive green! Someone in the 50's really went to town with a slide rule to accomplish all the angles and facets in this grill design! Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1950's excellent working condition. Cabinet is original pistachio green and mint green color. The front olive greenish grill is in excellent condition. Front RCA Victor logo applique is not missing. No cracks, chips, splits, or repairs anywhere on top, sides, or front! Knobs are original and securely attached. Volume knob has some small chips but the knobs are in one piece. This radio features a dual 4" speakers so it sounds great! This radio is one of the better ones for listening purposes. This radio is over 60 years old! No dial light. Not designed with one. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets.
