Vanilla Ivory Bakelite 1941 Crosley Model 52TE AM Shortwave Vacuum Tube Radio War Period Beauty Sounds Amazing!

DESCRIPTION:  Crosley is one of the only companies still around today and still making radios. This vintage tabletop tube AM radio manufactured is in excellent+ working and physical condition. This Bakelite beauty was originally painted at the factory in a beautiful creamy white. Not repainted no overspray no touch up. Original factory finish.  There are no large chips. No major scratches. I opted not to repaint for originality sake. Still very shiny. The tuning and volume knobs are original and securely attached. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Picks up shortwave stations also with antenna. Any long hank of wire will do. Oddly, This radio is over 75 years old! There are no cracks on the top. The tuning dial works fine no slipping. Dial light lights up brightly. Replacement modern LED bulb lights brightly and never needs replacement. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The brand new replacement power cord and polarized plug are excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Bottom factory label is intact. Factory original backing board is present with original T-pin attachment clips. Very flimsy attachment design. The backing board is just barely held in place designs like this. It's amazing the backing board to not go missing over the years. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
