DESCRIPTION: This radio is totally on fire! Once again, Arvin has dreamed up a provocative looking clock radio. Rare and very desirable from the 1950s venerable but somewhat quirky Arvin company which is actually still in business making car parts. This piece is important because it contains so many non-traditional 50's design choices that capture late fifties style. All these unique qualities are amplified by its rarity. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Arvin in 1957 time frame in excellent+ working and physical condition. Cabinet is original factory molded flame orange color with golden, grain and black burlap grill. No cracks, splits, chips or missing material anywhere. No rips, holes, missing grill fabric. No repaint, no over spray no touch ups. None needed. Knobs are original and securely attached. Tuning knob is in excellent condition with no pitting, rust or chips. Very functional tube radio alarm clock. This radio is one of the better ones for listening purposes. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. No cracks, chips or major scratches on the clear clock window. The tuning dial works fine. Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent. Alarm works. Alarm and clock set works. Sleep function works. The power cable is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The original power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The original backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners. No missing factory labels. Factory serial number sticker is intact. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.

COLOR: Called 'Flame,' looks like coral pink slightly orange
