DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Sylvania in 1959 time frame in excellent working and very good physical condition in an extremely rare color.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations very clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded mango orange yellow color plastic. Back cover has repaired hair line cracks. Clear top tuning register is in excellent condition with cracks, chips or micro-inclusions and securely attached. The front white grill piece is in excellent condition with no cracks or major scratches. A few small edge chips. The front tuning wheel is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips of major scratches.
KNOBS: Original witch hat matching volume and tuning factory knobs are securely attached.
LOGO: No missing logos. Front top edge aluminum trim panel is invery good condition with oxidation trails. Sylvania logo is in excellent condition no rub off.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: No clock
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board. Not designed with one. Loop antenna is contained internally.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels. These bottom labels are often missing on this model series.
