DESCRIPTION: Vintage tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by GE General Electric of Bridgeport CT in 1959 in excellent working and physical condition.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is in excellent condition. Original factory molded pink color plastic. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No over spray. Not touched up. Missing a small chip on the bottom front left edge. No cracks or major scratches or missing pieces.

KNOBS: Original matching knobs are in excellent condition and securely attached.  Volume knob and gold center are in excellent condition, no chips, no tarnish. Pull Power On/Off knob outward to turn on.

LOGO: No missing logos.

DIAL LIGHT: No dial light not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.

SPEAKER: Original 4" speaker

CLOCK: None.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents. Both Intermediate Transformers have been rebuilt so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.  

POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. 

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing factory labels. Back factory label is readable not completely faded which is often the case.

BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is intact and securely mounted. Factory info printing is readable with no water stains and little fading. 

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets. Was probably used in or near kitchen for much of its life.
