DESCRIPTION: Cool mid-century styling featuring Cadillac-looking egg crate grill in mirror glossy gray! Great looking radio with a funny model name. This tabletop vacuum tube AM radio was manufactured by RCA Victor in 1953 in excellent physical and working condition!

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Dual speakers for superior sound quality.


CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory mirror glossy molded slate gray back and blue gray front grill plastic. No cracks, chips or major scratches or missing pieces. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Front slate gray grill is original molded color. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted, no touch up, not over sprayed. All original factory colors. Front tuning aluminum bezel is clean shiny no dents no dings no pitting no oxidation.

KNOBS: Replacement matching knobs are matching and securely attached not yellowed with age. No missing knob gold metal inserts. Volume and tuning knob gold metal inserts are intact. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots.

LOGO: No missing logos. Front RCA Victor Little Nipper logo applique is not missing. 

DIAL LIGHT: No tuning or clock dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

CLOCK: No clock

POWER CORD: original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.

BACKING BOARD: Factory backing board is in excellent condition and securely mounted.  Top left corner has cracked. All original four factory t-pins for backing board mounting.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels. Some material loss of the corners and edges of factory labels.

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
